About JCC Summer Camps
Each summer, hundreds of campers come to the J to take part in our day camps. Camp K’ton Ton caters to our youngest campers, including toddlers, two-year-olds, three-year-olds, and kids entering kindergarten in the fall. Camp Shalom offers a well-rounded camp program for children of all ages, from those entering kindergarten in the fall to those looking forward to beginning their tenth grade year. Our Sports Camps are perfect for kids looking for a more specialized camp experience. One of the many Sports Camps we offer—Champions Academy Camp—was voted "Most Well-Rounded Summer Camp" in the Austin Chronicle's "Best Of" issue.
What makes JCC Summer Camps unique and why do campers and their families return year after year? Kids have a great time! The JCC Camps are highly organized and offer many opportunities for enrichment, creating friendships and having fun. We want every camper to return home each day having had the opportunity to succeed and feel a sense of accomplishment.
All of our camps are led by Camp Directors and administrators who are year-round JCC professionals and by summer counselors who use their energy, enthusiasm and expertise to make each child’s summer unforgettable. Camp staffers work to create a positive environment that encourages open communication with camp parents, and great relationships with campers based on appropriate behavior and caring and supportive language.
