Performing Arts
JCC Austin is home to a variety of performances throughout the year. Promising young stars have a chance to perfect their skills in Academy of Acting classes, Theater at the J offers audition workshops to prepare budding actors for the stage, and School of Dance at the J provides expert training and performance opportunities for children and adults.
Every summer, Camp Shalom's Performing Arts Camp presents a new show, while Theater at the J brings Summer Youth Musicals to life. 2012 is the "Summer of Adventure," offering a Camp production of OZ, and Theater at the J's Peter Pan and the Wind in the Willows.
Spotlight on Arts and Ideas also offers comedy events, concerts and more. Patron benefits include additional opportunities to attend events at Austin's finest cultural arts institutions.
Audiences are treated to special shows every year at the JCC, including concerts and dance performances by artists from Israel's Partnership with the Western Galilee region, the Israeli Scout Caravan, lunch conversations with touring theater companies, and exclusive concerts by local and national bands for JCC Senior Adult Programs.
See you at the show!
