Upcoming JCRC Events
JUST ANOTHER DAY Monday, September 27, 2010 7:30 PM Ballet Austin, Austin Ventures Studio Theater, 501 W. 3rd Street
TICKETS
Just Another Day is a multimedia performance which grew out of a
friendship between Naama Grinstein, a Modern and Israeli dancer who
graduated from the Gaaton Dance Village in the Western Gallilee, and
visual artist Kim Goldberg of Omaha, Nebraska. Originally performed at
the 2009 Akko Festival for Alternative Theater, the show combines
modern and ethnic belly dancing, music, and a video art backdrop - all
merging to communicate the celebration of life from a new point of
view. The group, which includes belly dancer Liron Ben Yaakov and
Israeli folklore dancer Noa Druker, will also perform briefly and offer
a workshop open to the community during Sukkahfest at the JCC on Sunday, September 26. Just Another Day is made possible by our Partnership with Israel's Western Galilee region and Ballet Austin.
