The Austin Jewish Book Fair is bringing its 26th year of incredible speakers, withnationally recognized authors such as Bruce Feiler,
Rabbi Harold Kushner, KatiMarton, Chris Bohjalian, Jeffrey Zaslow, and many others.
On Sunday, November 1, the fair kicks off with a day full of authors, both at the JCC and at the State Capitol.
The week will feature lectures and discussions, catered events, the annual BookLover's Luncheon, and Texas Book Festival appearances.
In partnership with Barnes & Noble, the Book Fair's onsite bookstore will showcase the newest titles published for children and adults.
• Rabbi Harold Kushner, author of the best-selling When Bad Things Happen to Good People, will speak about his new book
Conquering Fear: Living Boldly in an Uncertain World.
• Bruce Feiler, best known for his book, Walking the Bible: A Journey By Land Through the Five Books of Moses, will enlighten us with America’s Prophet: Moses and the American Story.
• Jeffrey Zaslow, who attended Dr. Pausch’s famous last lecture and wrote the story that sparked world-wide interest in it, will tell us about The Girls from Ames: A Story of Women and a Forty-Year Friendship
• Lily Koppel, a New York Times writer, will share the incredible story of finding a diary in a dumpster (and jumping in after it) in The Red Leather Diary: Reclaiming a Life Through the Pages of a Lost Journal.
